Moving In

As I approach this gator and heron, I'm not concentrating on the heron...

Close Enough

This is about as close as I want to get to these big guys. During the many times I've done this kind of shot, I've never had an alligator show any aggression and many hav fled. I don't discount the possibility of a first time, however, and keep my paddle ready!

Don't Turn Around

This is my favorite view for closups of alligators!

Tough Life

This juvenile might be reflecting about the burden of having a tumor on the side of his face. These monkeys are now completely wild and trapping them to treat an illness is tough.

More likely they will be trapped to be sold for research. The ones used to feeding are easier to trap, so if you don't enjoy the thought of the Rhesus Monkey being tortured in a lab, DON'T FEED THEM.

Quality Time

Wild rhesus monkeys along the Silver River have lived there since a few escaped decades ago.
