Wood Duck Preening, Ibises Feeding, Newly Hatched Wood Ducks, Apple Snail Eggs

Amazing construction, built to last, 200 million years so far.

And you know that the whole is usually bigger than it's parts!
Primitive like the alligator, a survivor. I've watched the Anhinga under water.
They don't really fish; they just grocery shop. Nothing get away!

A few common sights, cruising the River on a beautiful day.

Moving down the new "Paddle Trail" in the canal.
Off limits to all but human powered vessels.

One of th largest "common' snapping turtles I've seen.
As large as some of his "alligator snapper" cousins!
This cormorant has obviously bitten off more than he can chew!
Or in this case swallow whole.

Quiet grooming time for these Rhesus Monkeys.

Volunteer Mark, doing his job.
