A beaver holds a snack in tiny front paws. They are some of the loudest eaters in the wild and sound like they are really enjoying the feast! (See April Archive for many more beaver pics!) 
Moments from River Patrol on the Silver River (in Silver Springs Florida, next to Ocala) where I am one of many CSO volunteers. This amazing, spring-fed river is now threatened more than during any other time during since it's rebirth more than 12,000 years ago at the end of the last ice age. Let's all work hard to cherish and protect it for our grandchildren!
